Health Protection Grant Program

Through the Department of Education, the Northborough, Southborough, and Northborough/Southborough Regional School Districts applied for and was awarded a consolidated grant in the amount of $95,592. These monies came from the Health Protection Grant, Comprehensive Health Education and Human Services Grant Program.

Through the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the School Committee authorized that these grant monies be expended to hire a part-time Health Coordinator, a part-time K-4 School Psychologist, a full-timeGrade 5-12 Intervention Coordinator, and a part-time Grade 9-12 Intervention Teacher. Remaining funds were budgeted for health materials, teacher training, and for a smoking cessation program.
