This was a quiet year for the Board of Registrars. We had our Annual Town
Meeting in April, Annual Town Election in May, and a Special Town Meeting in September. In
October and November we were deluged with Initiative petitions for no more tolls, to roll
back the taxes. Checking signatures for registered voters is certainly easier than it used
to be. Instead of looking at a voting list for each and every person, it is now done on
the State computer system, which saves a lot of time.
